Filter Information and Instructions for Inline Filter (RVR-1)
The RVR-1 water filter has been tested to NSF 53 Standards "Health Effects" protocol by Terralab Engineers, Salt Lake City, UT., for 4000 gallons/15,140 liters and will remove or reduce the following from your water:
CHLORINE, CHLORAMINE, TTHM, LEAD, ARSENIC, MERCURY, CADMIUM, FLOURIDE, NITRATES, BARIUM, CHORM+6, CHORM+3, SELENIUM, LINDANE, METHOXYCHL, TAXOPHENE,2,4-D, 2,4,5-TP, THICHLOR, HERBICIDES, PESTICIDES.
Notice: Do Not Use filter where water is microbiologically unsafe or with water of unknown quality with out adequate diseffection before or after the unit.
1. Do not leave filter in the sun light over long periods of time, with water pressure on (possible filter failure due to pressure and heat build-up).
2. Do not use water that is above 110 F° / 48 C°.
3. Flush filter when using for human consumption: Turn water on and let water flow at a rate of approximately 1/2 gallon / 1.89 liters, per minute for one minute before drinking and never drink from a dirty faucet head.
4. Filter storage when storing filter for long periods: Put filter in a plastic bag or container with a small amount of water. This will help keep the filter media from drying out.
5. Filter should be replaced every two years or when water quality diminishes.
